of Conduct
Participation in
NOGSL-sponsored activities is limited to players, parents/guardians, coaches,
managers and officials who agree to abide by the NOGSL Code of Conduct. The intention of this code is to create an
atmosphere in which NOGSL-sponsored activities can provide a safe and enjoyable
experience to youth soccer players, their coaches, team members, families and
fans. It is therefore essential that all
participants adopt and demonstrate the values of good sportsmanship when
organizing, preparing or engaging in these NOGSL-sponsored activities. In addition, participants must agree to
recognize and adhere to laws and restrictions imposed by local governing bodies
that own or control locations where NOGSL-sponsored activities are held.
I, the undersigned, intend
to participate in activities sponsored by the Northern Ohio Girls Soccer League
(“NOGSL”) and have been made aware that my participation is a privilege granted
by NOGSL and its state and national affiliations. I recognize that these “NOGSL-sponsored
activities” shall include activities sponsored by or affiliated with NOGSL, the
Ohio Youth Soccer Association – North (“OYSAN”), the U. S. Youth Soccer
Association (“USYSA”) and/or the U.S. Soccer Federation (“USSF”).
As a participant in
NOGSL-sponsored activities, I pledge to be responsible for my words and actions
and will conduct myself in a manner that meets the requirements of the NOGSL
Code of Conduct:
1.
I will not engage in, nor encourage any other
person to engage in, unsportsmanlike conduct with any coach, player,
participant, official, family member or attendee of any NOGSL-sponsored
activity.
2.
I will not engage in, nor encourage any other
person to engage in, any behavior that would endanger the health, safety or
well-being of any coach, player, participant, official, family member or
attendee of any NOGSL-sponsored activity.
3.
I will not engage in, nor encourage any other
person to engage in, the use of profanity or any other behavior that demonstrates
a lack of respect or courteous regard for any coach, player, participant,
official, family member or attendee of any NOGSL-sponsored activity.
4.
I will not engage in, nor encourage any other
person to engage in, abusive language or actions that threaten physical harm to
the property or person of any coach, player, participant, official, family
member or attendee of any NOGSL-sponsored activity.
5.
I will not engage in, nor encourage any other
person to engage in, any intentional act of physical violence, injurious
assault or damaging action against the property or person of any coach, player,
participant, official, family member or attendee of any NOGSL-sponsored
activity.
I understand that if I
fail to conform my actions and intentions to the NOGSL
Code of Conduct while attending, coaching, officiating or participating in any
NOGSL-sponsored activity, I will be subject to disciplinary action, including
but not limited to, revocation of membership in NOGSL. In addition, I confirm that I have not be convicted
of any crimes as defined in the Ohio Revised Code – Section 109.572(a)(1) and understand that such conviction will bring about
the immediate revocation of all NOGSL membership privileges.
I, the undersigned, have
read and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and will accept actions taken
by NOGSL for failure to conform with it.
